Lindy at Fright!!!

Friday Oct 31st from 8pm-12am
In front of Haas Pavilion

Come dancing on Halloween! We'll have a very scary Swing lesson from 8-9, followed by three hours of dancing. And feel free to wear a costume!  Costume contests, scary dance moves, and mayhem to ensue.

Schedule:
8-9 Lesson
9-12 Dancing!

Haas Pavilion is the space immediately east of the Recreational Sports Facility. You should be able to see the dancing from the corner of Bancroft Way and Dana St. This event is free of charge.

A message about the Swing Cruise:

Key kids!

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Bryan Huang and I graduated from Cal December 07 and was involved with SwingCal and [M]ovement Swing.  I wanted to get the word out about a swing cruise I'm going on Jan 4-11.  There's various price packages, which includes room & board, workshops, dances, and more.  The cool thing is, if we can get a group together, my friend can work on a package deal for the flight Jan 3rd and the hotel that night.

We'll be flying from either Oakland or SF to Galveston, TX.

Ports of call are:
Montego Bay, Jamaica
Grand Cayman Island
Cozumel, Mexico

It includes classes for all levels and dances in the cruise price featuring Jean Veloz of Groovie Movie, Chandler Smith and Angelia Williams, the legendary Rusty Frank of LA, Jofflyn Valencia and Amber Villa of the Bobby Sox Brigade, Steve Conrad, and more.

Each teacher will teach at least 2 workshops.

Classes will be Lindy Hop, EC Swing, Balboa, Shag and Specialty Classes.

Dance Activities Workshops on days at sea – plus at least 5 Lindy Dance Parties!

I believe the starting price is something like $699 just for the cruise (room & board, classes, dances, etc.).  Hopefully we can get a group package for flights, transfers and the hotel in Galveston the night before for around $300.
