***AWESOME PEOPLE WANTED***
Are you an interesting, funny, intelligent individual? Do you love the
Swing events that the Berkeley swing community has and continues to
provide, free of charge, to the Berkeley community? Do YOU want to become
even more a part of this community?
Well, you are in LUCK.
The Berkeley Swing Team is looking for someone JUST LIKE YOU to shine in
our various ongoing events, including our popular SwingCal class, our
weekly Lindy on Sproul, and our monthly Lindy at Night events. Whether it

responsibilities, such as through bringing the music "cart" to/from our
dance events, we'd love to hear from you.
If interested, contact Swing Kween Kristina at ngk at berkeley.edu, or Swing
King Brian at brianzimmer at berkeley.edu. And if you come to Lindy on
Sproul this Saturday, you can also talk with someone and find out about
our upcoming planning meeting, where you can acquire an official swing
task.

***SwingCal Spring 2009 ANNOUNCEMENT***
Social dancing is a means of expression, creation, enjoyment, and
gathering for communities in the 21st century. A group of Berkeley
students, originating from the on-campus group Lindy on Sproul, has come
together to create a class that presents social dancing from a historical
and political point of view, teaches different modern forms of social
dancing, and hopefully inspires students to embrace social dancing as a
form of American culture.
We will be presenting a 12-week series introducing students to different
forms of social swing dancing. The course includes both a Beginner I
section for those new to social dancing and a Beginner II section for
those wishing to further their previous dancing knowledge. No dance
partner is required.
Enrollment Info:
Space is limited, so enrollment will be determined based on attendance of
the first two classes and a short entrance essay to be written during the
first class. The CCN will be given out during the second class.
Enrollment Summary:
* CCN not given out until second week of class.
* Attendence required for enrollment.
* Essay written during first class required for enrollment.
